Our Team
Ludovic Guillaume
CEO & Founder
Ludovic Guillaume, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Primal Manufacturing (Primal), is a Franco-American businessman based in Seattle, WA. An early pioneer in China with more than 30 years of experience doing business in and with China. Ludovic began in 1989 by sourcing products in China with the vision to help French importers find reliable suppliers. Primal now has offices and established operating entities in China, France, and the United States to support the growing business and customer base.

Ludovic led the growth and transformation of the company from a multi-material trading company in the 90's, to a global organization focused on manufacturing high quality, brand focused product, packaging and point-of-sale items for luxury brands in the beverage, cosmetic and fragrance industries around the world. With shareholders in the United States, France and China, Primal is truly a multicultural company with a global footprint and more than 100 years’ experience combined in these markets.

After visiting more than 600 factories over the years, Ludovic purchased a plastic injection factory (now wholly owned) in Zhuhai, China in 2016. This state-of-the-art facility has three distinct platforms – manufacturing, assembly center and quality center.

Ludovic is still pioneering in China. His plastic injection factory is committed to leading environmentally friendly manufacturing practices. He and his team have developed unique expertise in manufacturing with bio-based plastics, bio-degradable plastics and recycled plastics from the sea. Primal partners with customers on sustainability in design, packaging, production and logistics to deliver sustainable solutions in the luxury industry.
Théo Berthuit
Partner & General Manager
Theo Berthuit, General Manager of our private factory, Zhuhai Kanghong Plastics, is a French national based in Zhuhai. After graduating from Grenoble Institute of Technology with a materials and process engineering background, his first experience in China was in 2019 in Shenzhen, where his interest in the region began. He joined Kanghong in 2024 and remains in China today.
Theo has worked across various industries in China, placing a strong emphasis on product quality. Partnering with French and American companies, he assisted foreign customers in verifying that purchased products met market requirements and expectations. His dedication lies in team development and consistently achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
From selecting raw materials to implementing production processes, all decisions at Kanghong prioritize Quality, Safety, People, and Cost. These traditional criteria are integrated with sustainability to ensure a balanced approach across all elements.​
